Productive day... sort of

So, this morning starts off with me heading over to Mom and Dad's.  It was a Credit Card discount day today.  That, plus my employee discount, got dad a new 42" TV for $500 for Christmas.  I also picked up a new TV for the dance room.

So I got Dad's new TV set up and working fine. Then back home.

I unpack my new TV, then remove the old TV and run the new cables.  When I go to hang the new TV I find that the old wall mount won't work (the cables prevent it from working).  So back to Meijer to get a new wall mount.

Then I go to remove the old wall mount to find that... I can't.  I really bolted one of those screws in good.  I ended up cutting off the head and removing it with a pair of vice grips.

So I drilled new pilot holes and mounted the TV to the wall.  Everything works.  Almost.  I can't get the speakers to work right.  It keeps using the internal TV speakers - not the good ones I mounted before.

So I still have more work to do.

On the good side, more Christmas stuff done.  Only a little more and I'll be complete.
